Project Highlight
- Identifying the current power supply and calculating the new total required load is high priority when it comes to commercial renovation.
- Most businesses require a hefty amount of power to run the daily operations and it was no different with this commercial project.
- Introducing a Café Bakery to the light industry block posed various challenges from planning up to the actual installation. Electrical engineer becomes invaluable as they’d have to identify every machinery and appliances, as well as the general lighting to advice on the total ampere required to get building operational as intended.
How does the design tackle the ventilation concerns?
Passive or natural ventilation is to be encouraged to create air movement inside the building and reap its desired cooling effect. Utilising the opening windows throughout the building can save costs of installing the fresh air ventilation and also there are no running costs involved.
Dedicated child playcentre requires air conditioning to maintain comfortable indoor temperature. However, warehouse buildings with a high ceiling requires bigger ventilation unit to effectively cool the entire open space. To achieve cost effectiveness, we’ve lowered the ceiling height using the suspended tile system and reduced the overall power consumption to heat & cool the open space.
